About
Pocket Playbook started as a shared notes folder between a few friends who kept texting each other tips for whatever game we were hooked on that month. At some point the notes got long enough to be useful to strangers, so we put them online and kept going.
Everything here comes from actual playtime. We install a game, play it for days, and only then sit down to write. If a mechanic confused us, we say so. If a tutorial skipped something important, we fill the gap.
We pick games by watching what people around us are actually playing and by following the charts, but we don't chase every trend. A game makes it into our catalog only if there's something worth explaining — a tricky progression curve, clever controls, or a system that rewards patience.
There's no sponsor telling us what to cover. The editors rotate who writes what, we argue about ratings, and the final score is just our honest take after the credits roll or the grind gets old.
