Three party builds that carried us through Ember of Valdris

After finishing Ember of Valdris twice, we settled on three reliable party setups. The first is a defensive wall built around a shield-focused frontliner and two healers — slow but nearly unkillable, perfect for the mid-game bosses that punish mistakes.

The second is an elemental burst team. You stack characters whose abilities chain the same element, then drop everything in one turn. It's fragile, but it ends fights before they become dangerous. We leaned on this for the optional superboss.

The third is a balanced squad for everyday questing: one tank, one healer, one physical hitter, one caster. Nothing flashy, but it handles ninety percent of the game without fuss. Our advice is to keep two parties ready and swap based on what the dungeon throws at you.

The crafting tree supports all three, so invest early in a couple of core gear pieces rather than spreading materials thin. That one habit smoothed out the whole back half of the game for us.
