Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.7
Lantern Hollow is the game we recommend when someone wants to relax, not compete. You explore a small fog-wrapped village, talk to odd characters, and piece together why the lanterns keep going dark. The art is hand-drawn and genuinely lovely.
Puzzles are logic-based and fair — the kind where the answer feels obvious in hindsight. We rarely got stuck for long, and when we did, the game's built-in hint nudged rather than spoiled. Tapping to move and examine objects feels natural on a touchscreen.
It's short, maybe six hours, but it stays with you. The ending earned a genuine pause from both editors who played it.
